GENAVI DNA Kit

Important Notice
Make sure to check the use-by date indicated on the kit box.
DO NOT DRINK the Stabilization buffer.
In the event of the stabilization buffer coming into contact with your eye or skin, wash thoroughly with water.
Keep out of reach of children.
Refrain from brushing your teeth, smoking, eating, and drinking (including water) for at least 30 minutes before saliva collection.

1. Take a picture of your serial key

Take a picture of your serial key for recording purposes.

* You need to enter the serial key for kit registration in order to get access to your results.

2. Register your kit

Click the ‘Go to kit registration’ button and create a GeneStory account. After logging in, register your kit by entering the 12-letter serial key printed on the saliva collection tube.

* You can register your kit on GENAVI base Survey.

3. Rub the insides of your mouth

Rub the insides of your mouth with your tongue 5 times to collect enough buccal cells.

4. Rub your gums

Rub the inner and outer sides of your gums with your tongue 5 times.

5. Collect saliva

Spit into the saliva collection tube up to the indicated line. Please note that foamy saliva does not count.

* If you have collected too much saliva, slightly tilt the tube and discard the saliva until the remains reach the indicated line.

6. Remove the funnel

Turn the funnel counterclockwise and remove it from the tube.

* Prepare tissue paper before removing the funnel.

* The buffer solution and your saliva will mix when you remove the funnel.

* When removing the funnel, the saliva may sink below the indicated line. This is acceptable and no additional saliva is needed to be collected after removing the funnel.

7. Screw on cap

Remove the screw cap at the bottom of the tube and close the opening of the tube with it.

* You may rest assured that removing the screw cap from the tube won't affect the content in the tube in any way.

8. Shake well

Shake the tube 5 to 7 times and mix your saliva with the stabilization buffer.

9. Seal tight.

Place the tube inside the return bag and seal tight.

* The return bag is at the bottom of the box.

When will my reports be ready?

Your sample usually arrives at our laboratory in 2-3 weeks. The arrival time may vary depending on the delivery Situation.
Your genetic reports are issued within 10 business days upon the arrival of your sample.
You will be notified of your sample status and reports via email.
The laboratory is closed on weekends and public holidays.

Don't forget!

Depending on the DNA concentration and condition of the sample, we may request an additional sample of your saliva.
The test service must be used until the use-by date printed on the kit box. No refund or kit replacement will be provided past the use-by date.
